  • Features

    • Highly efficient secondary drier
    • Improves gloss
    • Prevents adsorption of the primary driers at the surface of pigments and extenders, thus increasing the stability of the coating during prolonged storage
    • Promotes through-drying
    • Good pigment wetting properties

  • Applications

    • Solvent-based systems based on alkyds and epoxy esters that dry by oxidation

  • Dosage

The typical usage level is 0.1 – 0.5% barium metal, based on binder solids. The exact amount depends upon the formulation and should always be determined in preliminary trials. Borchers® Deca Barium 12.5 can be added during the grinding process to improve pigment wetting or as a post additive along with the other driers

  • Storage

Protect from the effects of weathering and store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.

  • Safety

Please refer to our safety data sheet for information relating to product safety.
