Borchers® Deca Manganese is a highly effective oxidative drier. Manganese provides both surface and through drying properties.
Borchers® Deca driers are based on metal salts of neodecanoic acids. Borchers® Deca Manganese is available in the following grades:

Manganese based driers promote both surface and through-dry in oxidatively cured binder systems and are usually used in combination with other primary driers like e.g. Borchi® OXY – Coat or Borchers® Deca Cobalt.
Manganese is mainly used in pigmented coating systems and primers because its inherent color may cause discoloration in clear or light colored coatings. High atmospheric humidity severely inhibits the drying effect of manganese based driers.
Conventional architectural paints, wood coatings, printing inks and other industrial coatings based on resins that dry by oxidation.
The typical usage level is 0.01 – 0.05 % manganese metal, based on binder solids. The exact amount depends upon the formulation and should always be determined in preliminary trials.
Protect from the effects of weathering and store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C.
Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each use.
