HEUR Rheology Modifier for Waterborne Coatings / High Shear Range

Borchi® Gel 0435 is a non-ionic, polyurethane-based high shear range HEUR rheology modifier (Hydrophobically modified Ethoxylated Urethane copolymer rheology modifier) for water-based coatings systems. This thickener is  APEO- and tin-free.

Borchi® Gel 0435 develops outstanding brush and roll application properties and high shear thixotropy.  This rheology additive produces viscosity stability mainly in the high shear range.

 

Applications

Ideal applications include general industrial, leather, and decorative coatings. Borchi® Gel 0435 works well in water-based adhesives and sealants.

  • Dosage

    • 0.5 – 2.0% on total formulation

    Pre-thinning is possible but generally not required. The exact dosage should be experimentally determined.

  • Storage

    Protect from the effects of weathering and store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
