  • Dosage

Borchi® Nox C 3 can be added in its supply form as flakes or can be dissolved first in the binder or solvent to be used. It can be added either to the mill base or to the finished paint, stirring constantly. A method of incorporating Borchi® Nox C 3 that has proved particularly successful in the case of printing inks involves producing a pre-mix of Borchi® Nox C 3 and the binder, containing 25 parts linseed oil and 3 parts Borchi® Nox C 3. This mixture is heated to approximately 75 °C and stirred at this temperature for 5 -10 minutes. The homogeneous solution thereby attained is then added to the pigment and milled. The addition of Borchi® Nox C 3 is between 0.1 and 0.4 %, relative to total formulation. The optimum dosage depends on the binder / pigment system and must be determined beforehand in trials.
