Post-Addition Colorant Solution for Improved Color Strength and Color Acceptance

Borchi® Boost 540WS is a color booster additive for paint that improves color strength and acceptance in ready-made dispersions and tinting systems. This VOC- and APEO-free solution works well for a wide range of colors. Borchi® Boost 540WS provides excellent color in both water- and solvent-based paints.

 

Benefits of Color Boosters

Borchi® Boost 540WS enhances color acceptance in medium to high polarity systems. This paint additive strengthens tinted paints with organic pigment dispersions and carbon black pigments and fillers.

Borchi® Boost 540WS reduces or eliminates color rubout in paint and coatings formulations. Paint formulators can incorporate this solution as a post-add to the tinted base. This solution helps provide a smooth film surface and prevent film defects.

Borchi® Boost 540WS works well with a wide variety of colorants, including those designed for alkyd, vinyl acetate/ethylene, and acrylic paints (including styrene acrylic).

  • Dosage

    1 – 3 % on basecoat.

  • Storage

    Protect from the effects of weather and store at temperatures between 15 and 30 °C. Turbidity and flocculation may occur if Borchi® Boost 540WS is exposed to temperatures below 15 °C. This effect is reversible and does not affect its potency.
    Warm the material to room temperature and mix well before using. If its viscosity has also increased and it is difficult to handle the material must be heated to 50 °C to return the viscosity to normal. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
