Non-Associative ASE Thickener / Rheology Modifier

Borchi® Gel A LA is a non-associative ASE thickener. This rheology modifier additive is a solution of anionic acrylic polymers in water that builds viscosity at lower shear rates. It is APEO- and tin-free.

Benefits of ASE Thickeners

This polyacrylate-based thickener improves the rheological properties of aqueous coating systems. Borchi® Gel A LA swells water in the coating rather than associating with binders. It provides improved flow and leveling properties for water-based coatings, mainly in high gloss emulsions. It can be used in adhesives and sealants.

This grade is compatible with polyurethane and cellulosic thickeners to develop optimum rheological profiles.

Applications

Borchi® Gel A LA is ideal for use in a wide variety of coatings, as well as in adhesives and sealants.
