Borchi® Gol 8701 is a is a silicone-free substrate wetting additive that also improves flow while providing excellent slip without inter-coat adhesion interference.
This flow and leveling agent works with a multitude of resin systems but is primarily recommended for clear and pigmented solvent-based coatings. Benefits include reduced or eliminated flooding and floating, removal of orange peel, excellent gloss and clarity and outstanding DOI. Borchi® Gol 8701 does not promote or stabilize application foam and does not cause haze or turbidity.
This substrate wetting additive optimizes short and long wave ratio for outstanding performance. It provides similar performance to siloxanes, but unlike siloxanes, this agent does not cause recoatability issues.

- Improves surface wetting and flow
- Provides excellent slip without inter-coat adhesion interference
- Can be used in most solvent-based coating systems
- Eliminates the formation of Benard cells which eliminates flooding and floating specially for low viscosity systems
The recommended dosage is 0.5 – 2.0 % of the total weight of the formulation depending upon the binder type. The exact dosage should be experimentally determined. Borchi® Gol 8701 is easy to use and can be added at any stage of the formulation; however, we recommend adding it near the end of the formula.
Protect from the effects of weathering and light. Store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
