Borchi® Gol 8701 is a is a silicone-free flow and leveling additive that is able to maintain intercoat adhesion in coatings while providing excellent substrate wetting and slip. This solution also reduces pigment flooding and floating.
Borchi® Gol 8701 eliminates flooding and floating in pigments
This additive works with a multitude of resin systems but is primarily recommended for clear and pigmented solvent-based coatings. Benefits include removal of orange peel, excellent gloss, improved clarity, ability to maintain intercoat adhesion in coatings, and outstanding DOI. Borchi® Gol 8701 does not promote or stabilize application foam and does not cause haze or turbidity.
This silicone-free flow and leveling additive improves DOI, orange peel and clarity in clear and pigmented solvent-based coatings
This substrate wetting agent optimizes short and long wave ratio for outstanding appearance. It provides similar performance to siloxanes, but unlike siloxanes, this agent does not cause recoatability issues.

- Improves surface wetting and flow
- Provides excellent slip without intercoat adhesion interference
- Used to reduce pigment flooding and floating
- Can be used in most solvent-based coating systems
The recommended dosage is 0.5 – 2.0 % of the total weight of the formulation depending upon the binder type. The exact dosage should be experimentally determined. Borchi® Gol 8701 is easy to use and can be added at any stage of the formulation; however, we recommend adding it near the end of the formula.
Protect from the effects of weathering and light. Store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
