Benefits of Silicone-Based Defoamers and Air Release Agents
Borchers® AF 1270 is a mixture of fluorinated, modified polysiloxane diluted in butyl acetate. This defoamer solution improves surface leveling and has good binder compatibility. It has good gloss retention and low haze in formulated systems. As an air release agent, Borchers® AF 1270 supports fast air release of entrapped air on the film surface. This solution has little impact on film integrity.
Ideal applications include solvent-based 2K-polyurethane systems, unsaturated polyesters, alkyds, epoxies, and UV systems.

Borchers® AF 1270 can be added to the formulation at any stage, including post addition. Usual amounts are approximately
0.05 – 0.50 wt. % in formulation.
Keep away from food, drink and animal feeding stuffs. Keep away from sources of ignition – no smoking. Store in original
containers. Keep containers tightly closed in a dry, cool and well-ventilated place. Protect from frost, heat and sunlight. Keep
at temperatures between 5 °C and 30 °C.
