Dispersing organic pigments can be difficult as their particles tend to be small in size. This makes it difficult to stabilize the pigments, which can result in improper dispersion and, ultimately, a duller color.
Borchi® Gen 1251 provides wetting properties that make the dispersing process easier for organic pigments. As a result, color and gloss are enhanced in coatings. When used in carbon black organic pigments, this dispersant provides high jetness.
As a dispersing agent for organic pigments, Borchi® Gen 1251 is ideal for use in automotive and industrial coating applications.

Depending on the pigment grade, the recommended dosage is 20 – 35 % active dispersant on pigment. The exact dosage should be experimentally determined through a ladder study. Borchi® Gen 1251 should be added to the mill base before adding the pigment.
Protect from the effects of weather and store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. At temperatures below 15 °C turbidity and flocculation may occur. This effect is reversible and does not influence the product efficiency, so warm up to room temperature and mix well before use. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
