Wetting and Dispersing Agent for Organic Red, Green, and Blue Pigments
Borchi® Gen 1051 is a high molecular weight wetting and dispersing agent for organic red, green, and blue pigments in solvent-based coatings. These pigment colors are known as the secondary colors of pigment.

Red, green, and blue are known as the primary colors of light because when mixed in light form (e.g., spotlights), they can produce all colors. However, cyan, magenta, and yellow are the primary colors of pigment because when mixed in liquid form (e.g., paint and inks), these colors can produce all colors. Blue, green, and red are known as secondary colors of pigment since primary colors of pigment produce these colors when mixed in liquid form.

Borchi® Gen 1051 provides low viscosity dispersions, high transparency, and long-term dispersion stability. The colors of red, green, and blue are enhanced in coatings based on the wetting and dispersing agent’s ability to easily and quickly disperse organic pigments.

Depending on the pigment grade, the recommended dosage is 20 – 35 % active dispersant on pigment. The exact dosage should be experimentally determined through a ladder study. Borchi® Gen 1051 should be added to the mill base before adding the pigment.
Protect from the effects of weather and store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
